It will be carried out between the 4th and the 10th of May, and will be presented im the game against Real Madrid in Sar.

The action was explained today in front of the media, with Lupe Murillo, adviser of the Rio Natura Monbus Obradoiro, creator of the action and director general José Luis Mateo. In the sixth stage, that will be carried out on Saturday the 9th May,  the first team of Obradoiro will accompany Terry in his arrival to the Plaza del Obradoiro. We invite anybody who wants to, to join us, explained Mateo. Moreover, those that want to send support to Porter can make a video with the hashtag #ObraHospitaleiros. Those videos that have already been received include the coach Moncho Fernández and Ricky Rubio, player of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The executive of Pescamar, on their behaf, “the club is a good vehicle for communication for private businesses and institutions. We are presenting the club bearing the name of Galicia in the whole of Spain, and we are going to do it with this ambitious project with two objectives: the promotion of tourism and of charity”.

Nava Castro, Director of Turismo de Galicia, also added to the presentation: “our work is to maximise the Camino, an element with worldwide identity and the principal attraction of international tourism in the community. This project, in which Terry Porter will enjoy our cuisine, culture and traditions, will be beneficial for more than 100 Galician municipalities along the way of the jacobean route. We remember that 23.000 pilgrims came to Compostela this year, marking a growing tendency. For this, the Camino forms one of our main strategies to keep growing with diverse projects such as the program Smart Camino or like the project brought before us today, where Rio Natura Monbus Obradoiro present a spectacular initiative that will contribute toward our goal”.

The whole Camino will be filmed to form a documentary, co-directed by Fernando Cortizo and Carlos Davila of Artefacto Producciones, known for their success in cinema, especially for the film “O Apóstolo”. Curtis indicated that “the project is a difficult challenge because of the physical and logistical effort involved, but we did not have any doubts in any moment that we wanted to unite on it”. The most technical part, he explained, that a team of more than 10 people will be following the American Star, trying to film moments with him alone or with his accompanying guests. Moreover, after each stage completed, a daily video clip will be published to allow wider diffusion of the project. “it’s risky, bakes we will have no opportunity to repeat shots, but we face the project with a lot of responsibility and enthusiasm”.

Many companies have already come forward to collaborate with the adventure of sacrifice, like La Caixa through its “Obra Social”. Susan Santos , its manager, explained that the company “supports these projects that generate opportunities, whether they are ours, joint or collaborations with other entities that develop their own idea, like is the case with the Heracles Foundation, which created this athletic scholarship with added value of assisting with education, combined with allowing access to sport for those who cannot”. She added that:”its’s the first collaboration that we have done following the Copa del Rey, but we are excited and prepared already for more surprises”. The project already has and back account, where anybody can make a donation to the project: ES95-2100-2186-9102-0034-3853.
